Anti-infectious Therapeutic Line

Infections of the superior airways like pharyngotonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media are very frequent afflictions in the population, especially during the pediatric age. In the case of the sexually active population, genital infections represent a frequent reason for consultation due to the pain that they may cause, like genital herpes.

Antifungal

Conazol® | Ketoconazole

It’s indicated in the treatment of several dermatophytosis: tinea corporis, tinea cruris, “athlete’s foot”; onychomycosis, seborrheic dermatitis, versicolor pityriasis and vulvovaginal and skin candidiasis, in mild cases as well as in severe ones.

Mycelvan® | Terbinafine

It is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections. In the case of ringworm of the body, ringworm of the worm, athlete’s foot, and onychomycosis. Systemically administered terbinafine is not effective in versicolor pityriasis. It is also indicated in infections caused by candida. Before treatment starts, lab tests of samples from the nail should be made (KOH prep, fungi culture or nail biopsy) in order to have a confirmed diagnosis before starting treatment.

Antimicrobial

Biosint® | Cefotaxime

Indicated in the treatment of severe infections caused by gram-positive or gram-negative germs that are susceptible to antibiotics, such as airways, genitourinary, abdominal, gynecological, osteoarticular, neonatal, skin, and soft tissue infections, as well as septicemia, endocarditis, meningitis, and other infections of the central nervous system.

Cefa 3® | Ceftazidime

Indicated in the treatment of bacterial infections produced by susceptible germs in: intraabdominal infections including peritonitis and bile duct infections, septicemia, gynecological infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and nervous system infections. It is advised to perform an antibiogram before starting treatment, as well as isolating and identifying the bacteria causing the infection.

Evocs III® | Levofloxacin

It is indicated in the treatment of the respiratory tract infections, including sinusitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and pneumonias acquired in the community. Skin infections like: impetigo, abscesses, anthrax, cellulitis and erysipelas. Urinary tract infections, including acute pyelonephritis and prostatitis. It is also indicated in the treatment of osteomyelitis.
