In Mexico, amebiasis is amongst the first 10 causes of mortality. In 2002, Laboratorios Liomont launched an initiative promoted by Mr. Samuel Rimoch called Programa Integral Contra la Amebiasis (PICA).

The objective of the Pica Program is to support low-resource communitites in accesing free, dignified, timely, complete and comprehensive treatment to erradicate amebiases. Since 2002, more than 70,000 free treatments have been provided.

Our sales force represents Liomont´s volunteerism for this cause, implementing campaigns in marginalized communities in the geographic areas where they have a presence.
